The MEG Facility is located at the CIMeC laboratories in Mattarello.

Access to the MEG Facility and equipment is granted at two levels:

• Level 1 (non-expert users): access to the laboratory and equipment, but only when supervised by a level-2 user (expert user).
• Level 2 - (expert users): autonomous access to the laboratory and equipment.

The Facility premises have controlled access. Access for authorised staff and level-2 users is guaranteed by means of electronic badge readers.

Experiments can be carried out in the laboratory as long as laboratory staff are available, when necessary, during opening hours (9 AM - 18 PM, from Monday to Friday). Exceptions are possible, when necessary, and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the laboratory staff and authorised by the Facility Manager. As a rule, requests for exceptions should be submitted to the Facility Manager at least 5 days prior to the date of Facility use.
