Directions By Car


° From North: 
Mattarello is located 3 km from Trento center and 10 minutes from the highway exit. Leave the A22 Brenner highway at the "Trento Centro" exit and join the ring road in the direction of Verona (2nd exit on the right), therefore going South (Sud). After about 4 Km take the first exit for Mattarello and you will come to a crossroad where you will take a left (over the highway). At the stop sign you will take a left on to Via Nazionale, going north. After about 600 meters you will take a right onto Via della Rozola (opposite from "La Cicogna" store). From here follow the road (keeping to your left) all the way up to CIMeC which will be on the left. See driving map for further details. Parking can be found outside of the main offices. 
° From South: 
From the A22 highway take the "Rovereto Nord" exit and follow the SS12 main road towards Trento for approximately 15 km. Take the first exit for Mattarello and follow this road for about 3 km until you are in town center. Just before the roundabout take a right onto Via della Rozzola. From here follow the road (keeping to your left) all the way up to CIMeC which will be on the left. See driving map for further details. Parking can be found outside of the main offices.

Directions By Bus

° From Trento: train station the ticket can be purchased at the "chiosco" inside the train station and costs € 0,90. You get the ticket stamped directly on the bus by the "convalida" machine. The bus (n. 8) comes by every 15-20 minutes and the ride should take no more than 20 minutes. The closest bus stop to CIMeC is Mattarello "Via Nazionale". You might want to ask the bus driver to tell you which stop it is when you arrive. In case there is a language barrier, you should know that it is the stop right after the first round-about you get to in Mattarello. Once off the bus walk back towards Trento for about 50 meters and take a right onto Via della Rozola (across the street from the store "La Cicogna". It will be about a 10 minute walk uphill to CIMeC. ° From Rovereto: at the main bus station (via Paoli) the 301 bus leaves roughly every half hour. See a current bus schedule here:

Directions By Train

Visit Trenitalia website to see up-to-date schedules for the location you are arriving from as well as to purchase your ticket online. Your arrival station is Trento, from which you then take a bus to Mattarello. See "Bus" instructions for how to get from Trento station to Mattarello by bus.

PLEASE NOTE: before getting on the train make sure to get your ticket stamped in a "convalida machine" which can be found either: a) on the ticket machines themselves, b) just outside the entrance to each railway, or c) on each railway (but not on the trains themselves). Also be sure to double check that you are looking at the Partenze/Departures schedule board and take note of the railway (binario or BIN) it is departing from.

Directions By Plane

The closest airport to Mattarello is Verona Villafranca/Valerio Catullo Airport (VRN) 
When you arrive you will need to take a bus to Verona Porta Nuova (central) train station. 
Once you arrive to the train station you will need to purchase a ticket (Verona - Trento) from either one of the representatives in the "biglietteria" (ticket window) or from one of the ticket machines in the foyer. The ticket machines are in English (as well as other languages) and may be quicker if there is a line at the ticket window. Cost of the ticket to Trento varies depending on the type of train you take. Most of the trains going to Trento are Regional (R), other ones are Euro Stars (EC or ES) . The ride usually lasts about an hour.
