Booking System and charging cost EPL Facility laboratories are accessed using a remote control. Facility staff issue the device after granting access to a user. The remote control must be returned once the research is complete. The digital opening and closing system grants not only access to the EPL Facility generally, but also to specific laboratories, limited to the resources required for the research in progress. An automated tracking system is in place at each access point. Reserve laboratories and other Facility resources via CLARA, the CIMeC online booking system, which can be accessed using university credentials at: https://apps.cimec.unitn.it/cis/calendar.php. To guarantee a fair distribution of bookings and to avoid excessive use by one research group to the detriment of others, users must respect the following rules:
Any special needs that do not fit with these rules must be authorised by EPL Facility staff. Use of the EPL Facility laboratories and/or equipment incurs costs, listed online (add link). A booking can be cancelled with no charge up to 3 days in advance (i.e. at least 72 hours before the period booked). Cancellations less than 72 hours in advance will still incur charges, even if the cancellation is due to a lack of volunteers or volunteers failing to attend the experiment.
