- Researchers or staff that work in the MR Lab need a medical examination for safety screening. Two different types of medical examinations are needed depending on the lab access level of the person:
- MR Access Level 1: Researchers who do not need to access the magnet or technical rooms need a medical examination that consists of an MR screening done at Mattarello by the Responsible Physician of the MR lab.
- MR Access Level 2 or Operator: University regulations require that researchers who need occasional access to the magnet or technical rooms for a project must complete a more thorough medical examination performed by an external physician yearly. This examination includes a general health examination, auditory, urine and blood tests.
